My I tunes library is much too big to have on computer and I phone so is stored on hard drive. I would like to add just one playlist at a time onto I phone how would I do that pleaseApple

I assume that all the songs and playlists are listed in your iTunes library, including the ones whose files are stored on the external drive? If so, when you sync the phone, use the option to sync "selected playlists....," and just check the one(s) you want to have on the phone.
