I would like to buy an iPad for someone in the US but the payment card originates from Singapore

I would like to buy an iPad for someone in the US but the payment card originates from Singapore. My payment method keeps failing.

When trying to check the billing address options on the US Apple.com, Singapore doesn’t appear on the country dropdown, in fact only a handful of countries are there.

My credit card is SG-issued so I need to choose an SG billing address, otherwise the payment doesn’t go through.

Even my Paypal does not work. What do I do?

Apple will not ship internationally - or to a known freight forwarding address.

As such, online purchases will be expected to provided a payment method issued applicable to the country where the purchase is being made - and for this reason your attempted purchase against the US Apple Store, with an SG issued Credit Card, will likely fail.

Unless you can find someone that you know in the US that is prepared to make the purchase on your behalf (such as the intended recipient), that you are able to reimburse, you are likely out of luck.
