Turning off visual voicemail

Very frustrated by the nonsensical text messages in visual voicemail. Not sure how it was recently activated but it caused barely audible messages.

To solve the problem:

Go to Settings, select the 📞 icon, turn Visual Voicemail to the “off” position

Found that 'visual voicemail' when turned OFF, can

hide other received calls; as they go into voicemail..

And won't appear, until actions done to see them.

Missed calls are not shown either, not those commited

to visual Voicemail. ~ A way to see those, is run iPhone

with cellular data turned-on; & may appear more often.

The more odd junk like SIRI you can live without, just shut

them off; & turn down the racket.(Mine is almost perfect.)

By then, it might be permanently disabled &/or obsolete.

Are you sure you that it is Visual Voicemail that you are talking about and not Live Voicemail. Live Voicemail lets you automatically see a real-time transcription as someone is leaving you a message.

Use Live Voicemail on your iPhone - Apple Support

Visual Voicemail lets you choose which voicemails you want to listen to from a list on your screen. Before Apple introduced Visual Voicemail, you had to call a number from your phone and listen to your voicemails in order, where you had to push another number to listen to the next one or delete them.
