How do I install an older version of GarageBand

Hi Apple Support Community,

I'm currently running macOS Big Sur on my 2015 MacBook Pro, and I need to install an older version of GarageBand that's compatible with my system. The latest version available on the App Store isn't working well for me. Could you please guide me on how to download a compatible older version of GarageBand?

Thank you for your help!

Best regards,

Mo Thompson

Typically the Garage band is paired to the macOS...

see App Store, where you purchase an app /fee apps and the tab with your "previous purchases. "

  • On the main entry page, the first tab, you can only purchase apps for the most recent system versions.
  • From the list of previous purchases you can download again older versions you previously purchased . Just make sure you sign into the App Store with the same AppleID you used when you first purchased the app on an older system version.
