Through sheer folly I have brought my iphone 6s to "Unavailable" stage by mistyping passcode in excess of the permitted attempts. i have my appke ID but how to use it to re-liven my phone?

I forgot the passcode to open my iPhone 6s which was not in use quite some months. Repeatedly trying several possible numbers I exhausted the permitted number of attempts and now my phone is declared as “iPhone unavailable”. Will some knowledgeable community member guide me in the matter to make my dead phone alive?

See what to do here:

If you see an iPhone, iPad or Apple Vision Pro unavailable message or Security Lockout screen – Apple Support (AU)

In summary:

You’re going to completely erase your phone, and then “restore” it from the most recent available backup.

Note that if your phone wasn’t running at least iOS 15.2, you’ll need a computer and a cable to complete the process outlined here:

If you've forgotten your iPhone passcode, use your Mac or PC to reset it – Apple Support (AU)
