Still, the abrupt change in Mail behavior indicates something is awry in Apple land, and ‘Hide IP Address’ is a useful feature. Have to remember to re-enable it when the problem is resolved.
No, nothing is awry. It was a new feature added in iOS 17.5.

In my yahoo mail I keep getting message Network settings are preventing download privately
This just started yesterday (7/25) but it’s appearing on EVERY single email such as those from Redfin, Travelzoo, DSW, etc. if I knew what network setting was preventing it from loading, I would have fixed it. That’s what we’re looking for assistance with. No idea why this just started happening.
I’ve been having the same problem since yesterday afternoon. It sounds like an Apple glitch?
