How to fix Nikon D6 XQD card size limit issue on MacBook Pro

I have a Nikon D6 with twin QXD card slots. I save the RAW format files in slot one and JPEG in slot two. I recently got a 256 GB XQD card in slot 1, and my Intel MacBook Pro won’t read it, nor my 2024 Mac mini. I’m assuming there is a size limit that Apple puts on these cards to read. Anyone have this problem and what is the work around? Thanks!!!

The built-in card readers on recent Macs are designed to read SD cards, us to SDXC density.

The QXD cards provided by your high-end Nikon can not be read by the Mac built-in readers and requires a stand-alone reader peripheral. They are simply NOT compatible.
