how to save a route for future use on apple maps on ipod?

xxxx i spent a lot of time and effort creating a route, but several days later, it is gone. i did not power down, only allowed ipad to sleep, plugged into power.

Maps doesn't have a fuction that allows you to save a route. If iPadOS needs more memory for some reason, it will get it by shutting down apps that aren't currently being used. If that's Maps, the route would be lost.

about half of 32is avail.

I'm not talking about storage memory. I'm talking about working memory, often referred to as "RAM".


also need to print route DETAILS since route may go away. image &print is bad soln, wastes ink and paper on the map image, and need many pp for long route.

Why do you need to print it out? Why not just use the iPad?
