Apple Watch series 9 battery

I just upgraded from series 2 watch to the 9 and though love all the extra available features I’m disappointed the battery life is so short. It says 18 hrs but mines not even lasting that long. Will definitely be making a note of how long it’s lasting each day.

Full battery capacity of a new battery takes 3 to 5 charge cycles to be fully reached. Also, during the first 24 to 72 hours a lot of background activity is taking place between your watch and iPhone and watch and iCloud. The background activity includes syncing and indexing among other system tasks. This consumes additional CPU cycles and battery capacity over regular day to day usage. I’d give it a week or so for the battery to condition and activities to subside. Enjoy your new watch!
