The warranty starts running at purchase …
… even if the box is never opened.
That said, I too suspect a scam. Nobody buys AirPods for full list price, holds them unopened for nine months and then resells them — presumably — at a deep discount. 🤔
As it appears the OP actually purchased the product in December 2023, the warranty date would be accurate, and in no way indicates a fake product.
If you purchased them from the Apple Store as indicated, they are genuine.
If somebody else purchased them last year …
… there’s no way for us to tell conclusively from the images if something sketchy has taken place in the intervening 9 months.
Serial number is genuine and the device already activated warranty will finish December 2024. So inside the box there is a chance of fake Airpod. They already took the original and repack same like original. Don’t buy it
How can a person activate any Apple product without opening the box. Airpod is activated same day and still running under warranty. If you never connect with a device how it’s activated ? On the picture it’s sealed but running under warranty also. How ? So you can easily prove it’s something like scam.
Whatever your question might be isn’t clear ???
is it a copy or an original?
As you appear to have purchased at an actual Apple Store, I don’t understand why you feel the product is NOT original.
I’m not quite so sure of the provenance.
I suspect the OP is purchasing these “today” …
... and an unidentified “someone else” purchased the genuine AirPods for cash in San Diego last December.
Yes, I would like to buy them from this person, there is no official Apple store in my country, but I am not sure if it is original
So you have no way of knowing if the photo is what you’d actually be receiving ??? 🫣
SCAM !!!
If the PAST ACTIVATION status is TRUE box surely opened
