Why can't I reinstall macOS after erasing the disk?
After trying to erase the disk in disk utility’s it is still not letting me reinstall the macOS, I am connected to wifi. Please help!

You cannot erase or install to Base System, that is in Firmware & allows you to run Restore Mode.
Selct the top left entry to erase& Install to.:)

Reinstalling the macOS:
Select "Macintosh HD" and then make sure "unmount" is shown. If it reads "mount", then click "mount". Then try this once more.
Are you running a MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.13 or are you running a Mac Pro 2017
with a touchbar?
