Apple will not send you any messages about a lost or missing device.

Apple does not track your device or get involved in any way if your device is lost or stolen.

Any messages claiming to be from Apple that your device was found is from the thieves.

They are trying to get you to click a link to a fake website so you will enter your Apple ID and password so they can steal it and reset your phone.
