The iPhone 8 and 8 Plus are not compatible with iOS 17. iOS 17 requires and iPhone XR or newer.

PhonePe is not an Apple product. It requires ios 17 to work. it is not compatible with your phone.

That was a choice made by the app developer, not Apple.

if you want to use that app, you will need a new phone.
