Iphone 14 pro IOS 17.6 camera not recognized
Yesterday, in facetime i was not able to switch the camera , i restarted device today and since than I am seeing this “Camera Not Recognized
This can happen if the camera is not a genuine Apple part or was installed incorrectly. View more details in PARTS AND SERVICE HISTORY in Settings”. I updated iphone from 17.5 to 17.6 and still it didn’t solve the issue. Also when i open camera, I can swap to video and photo and see the .5 option swiftly disappear between both options.
My device's coverage has expired, and now, after restarting it today, I'm getting a message pop-up. This feels like a money grab—I'm expected to pay out of pocket for an issue that isn't my fault but rather due to a manufacturing defect on Apple's part! To add to that, I've never had it repaired before.
The response I got from an Apple Support Senior Advisor was as follows:
"As I said before, if you had AppleCare+, you would have had 30 days to extend it. If you only had a warranty, that wouldn't have covered this anyway. Apple doesn't care who caused it; if you don't have coverage, you have to pay."
