These are websites no(?)
Did you try a different browser and compare your results...
Yes, I know. I meant a third-party extension. Make sure nothing is blocked on the sites you have trouble with. As I mentioned, I have no issues viewing streams from the sites you mentioned.
FWIW, I have no problem with video on Prime or Tubi in Safari. I don't have Peacock to check. Do you have an adblocker in Safari?
Yes, they are all websites that stream videos; no, I’m not trying a different browser because I want to solve with Safari and discern the difference between Peacock, Prime, and Tubi versus Netflix and Paramount which stream videos successfully.
thanks for that information; I have the latest software updates for macOS Sonoma [14.6] and Safari [17.6]; I've cleared cache, restarted Safari and/or my MacBook Pro M1 many times; occasionally, the first few video streaming requests work well; but Prime, Tubi, and Peacock display 'black screens" while streaming video new requests; the irony in all of this is that Netflix, Paramount, and YouTube streaming videos are okay! occasional blips on Netflix resolve themselves!
Yes, Safari has a content blocker and pop-up ads can be blocked per website;
except for Prime, I do not have any 3rd party extensions installed;
FWIW, there is no Prime extension. There is a standalone Amazon Video app, but that would have no effect on Safari.
