1 Mac Display and 2 extended monitor display issue

I use 2 external monitors (HP E24u G5 - Both monitors are same brand & model) connected to my Macbook Air M1. However, in display settings, my Macbook is unable to recognise that there are 2 separate displays connected and instead thinks there is only 1 monitor connected. As a result, even though I am able to see the same content on both 2 external monitors. I am not able to extend the windows between my 2 external monitors as the Macbook only sees 1 external monitor. So instead of seeing 3 different screens, I am stuck with 1 screen on my Macbook, and 1 "same" screen between my 2 external monitors.

Macbook --> USB-C Display --> HP Monitor USB-C Display (1 Monitor) --> HP Monitor Display Port (1 Monitor) to HP Monitor Display Port (2 Monitor).

It sounds like there are two problems.

  • You're trying to use two external monitors with a M1 MacBook Air. The M1 MacBook Air only supports one external monitor.
  • You're trying to use DisplayPort daisy-chaining with a Mac. Macs don't support this. If you had a Mac that supported multiple external monitors, you could plug in a Thunderbolt (not "plain" USB-C) dock or hub and attach two non-Thunderbolt displays with resolutions of up to 4K @ 60 Hz to it. But Macs generally do not support DisplayPort daisy-chaining even where standards might allow it.
