Magnet By MagSafe charger

Is it possible to leverage the magnetic properties near the MagSafe charging port on my MacBook Air 2017 to enhance the connection strength with the charger? My battery is critically degraded, and any disconnection results in an immediate shutdown of the laptop.

MBA magsafe charger randomly attaching at an angle? So a few days ago i plugged my MBA (2022) in and i noticed my charger looked weird. instead of plugging straight in, it kind of attaches at an angle. it’s not one of the things where i have to hold it at an angle for it to work though. i would say it charges fine, but it wants to come off of my mac a lot easier than before and when i move it the indicator light flashes once or twice. I have cleaned the port on my mac, and the charger itself to no avail. does anyone know what it might be? it’s really frustrating because nothing comes up when i look it up and the closest repair place to me is 2hrs away (i can’t send it in because i use it for college almost everyday). the first image is a view of the charger from the side. PLEASE tell me im just overthinking this and this is how it’s supposed to sit. the second photo is of the port on my mac. i noticed what looked to be a little bit of damage on the left (?) side.

Some creative use of adhesive tape, perhaps. Don't consider that any more than a temporary fix until you can replace its battery. A Mac won't work properly with a battery that is in such dire need of replacement. It could even be hazardous.
