MBA magsafe charger randomly attaching at an angle?

So a few days ago i plugged my MBA (2022) in and i noticed my charger looked weird. instead of plugging straight in, it kind of attaches at an angle. it’s not one of the things where i have to hold it at an angle for it to work though. i would say it charges fine, but it wants to come off of my mac a lot easier than before and when i move it the indicator light flashes once or twice. I have cleaned the port on my mac, and the charger itself to no avail. does anyone know what it might be? it’s really frustrating because nothing comes up when i look it up and the closest repair place to me is 2hrs away (i can’t send it in because i use it for college almost everyday). the first image is a view of the charger from the side. PLEASE tell me im just overthinking this and this is how it’s supposed to sit. the second photo is of the port on my mac. i noticed what looked to be a little bit of damage on the left (?) side.

Your laptop has suffered an impact while the MagSafe charging cable was connected. I can clearly see impression in the metal around the MagSafe port of the laptop and I can see the DC-In Board (aka Magsafe connector on the laptop) is pushed downward so it is no longer centered in the opening.

If you want to keep using the Magsafe charging cable, then you will need to have the laptop repaired.

In the mean time, you can use a USB-C charging cable instead although that will use up one of the laptop's USB-C ports.
