if i buy applecare after the device is damaged. does it cover?
I bought my iPhone a week ago. And it had damage after being shipped. I then bought applecare. Since I bought AppleCare after the phone damage. Does it still cover it?

Of course not. That's like waiting to buy home insurance until after your house has burned down.
Edit: The text changed on a couple of posts here. But as lobsterghost1 said, why wouldn't you just immediately return the device if it arrived damaged?

Not if Apple determines that the phone was damaged before AppleCare+ was purchased.
I don't think we are getting the whole story here though.

This doesn't make any sense. If you received a damaged phone, you should have returned it, not bought an AppleCare plan. Something doesn't add up here.
