My brand new MacBook Air keeps on freezing on me

Hi! I’m very new to using a macbook. Got the air m3. Not sure still about difference, usage of something. I have yet to discover how I can maximize its potential. I tried to get higher one with the thought of it’s the best one but apparently not. Was setting it up but it keeps on freezing on me. Paid for brandnew so I’m not sure why it’s acting up. Can snyone help me please? 😢

based on the title of your question, along with the fact that you are having issues, have you installed any "antivirus" apps? and / or any apps that claim to "speed up" or "clean up" or otherwise "ontomize" your Mac? apps like those are well known to cause serious issues within macOS while providing ZERO protection or benefit.

if you haven't installed such apps, i'm thinking you should download and run the free version of EtreCheck so we can see if you have some software installed that is causing your issue. make sure you give "full disk access" to etrecheck. Learn how to use it by reading Using EtreCheck. if you need help interpreting the report, you can see how to post the report here by reading How to use the Add Text Feature When Posting Large Amounts of Text, i.e. an Etrecheck Report. and it automatically obscures sensitive things (like serial numbers) so you don't have to worry about sharing the report here.
