MacBook won’t start up, disk utility does not show HD

Hi all,

I have a MacBook that is relatively new and never had any issues. This morning, it froze on me and then would not start back up. I followed directions from another answer on here and got to disk utility, tried to run first aid, then tried to reinstall Mac OSX but there is no hard drive to select. I went back to disk utility and it also doesn’t not show my hard drive - just a folder that is named “macOS base system disk image volume”. Any ideas what to do?

MacBook, macOS 12.5

Hi,

If your MacBook is 12inch 2017, intel M3model, try to reset NVRAM which could solve the issue.

If it doesn't help, storage is soldered on logic board, so you need to replace logic board at AppleStore, Genius Bar or Apple Authorized Service Provider.
