Transferring my own CDs on the Apple Music Library to an iPhone

I have all of my own CDs in my Apple Music on my MacBook Air 15", and they work fine. (Note: I do not have an Apple Music subscription.) When I have tried to sync my Apple Music Library with my iPhone 15 Pro Max, many of the CDs are available on the iPhone, but many also are not available on the iPhone. I have tried everything I have found about syncing the two, with no change. How can I accomplish this?

iPhone 15 Pro Max, iOS 17

If you don't have an iTunes Match subscription or Apple Music subscription – or don't want to use the Sync Library feature of an Apple Music subscription – there is the classic way of synchronizing your iPhone against the contents of a master iTunes library (pre-Catalina) or Music library (Catalina and later) on your computer.

You do need to have enough room on your iPhone to store all the content that you are syncing. If your iTunes library or Music + TV libraries are too big for your iPhone, then you will want to selectively sync thing rather than telling the computer to sync everything.

Thanks. I eventually got through to the right person on the Apple Support line (800-692-7753). When e were trouble shooting the issue, we fired out that I had been using the power cord input on my MacBook Air to the USB-C on my iPhone 15. When I used the USB-C to USB-C cord, it worked fine. I should feel like an idiot, but I am too happy that any of my CDs can now be put on Apple Music with access through my iPhone.
