Apple Watch reset end to end data encryption

I’m trying to set up Apple Watch SE for my son. I get a message from watch that says I need to reset my end to end data encryption. There are no solutions online that I have found. I have updated software to both phone and watch, reset my iPhone and turned off advanced data protection. No luck. Thank you
