2018 MacBook Pro refused to boot up after being left overnight NOT connected to charger.
So my 2018 macbook pro was left without being connected to the charger overnight a few days back and in the morning it refused to boot up. I'd tried everything (even disconnecting the battery inside) and it just wasn't having it. I even held the power button on for 2 minutes.
Just now I took the back case off AGAIN and probed around with a multimeter and it was giving some reading (3.5 volts at most. I even disconnected the battery and reconnected it.
Put it back together and plugged it it and pressed on the track pad and noticed it was clicking, which was odd, given that it gave no signs of life for 3 days now.
Then it started to boot up and I'd logged it to find that the battery was completely discharged and at 1%.
How is this possible? Anyway to stop the battery being drained when he macbook is closed-lid?
Anyone had a similar issue? I love my macbook (it's like my 'extra limb') and would hate for something like this to happen again, repeatedly.
Appreciate any help.
