Why does my Caller ID show as unidentified on my mom's phone?

When I call my mom's phone on Verizon her phone doesn't show my ID with my phone number that rings her. It appears to be someone random and not me, her son. It shows me as unidentified. How do I update her non Apple phone to work correctly?

Assuming your caller ID is not disabled as was mentioned in a reply above, this is unrelated to your iPhone.

It’s either an issue at her carrier or her cellular plan, or it’s a setting on whatever mobile phone she is using. Check with the carrier, and with the details and docs for the particular phone, or a forum that discusses that particular phone.

PS: As an alternative to remote-support of her non-Apple phone, maybe get her an iPhone? Family Sharing can be helpful, and Apple is providing a remote-support SharePlay mechanism in iOS 18. And if it might become helpful (and as has happened with some other parents), iPhone supports Assistive Access.
