My Caller ID show my mother's name while calling

I have my iPhone under a carrier (T-Mobile) account which is under my mothers name. Whenever I make a call to someone that does not have my contact, it shows my mothers name along with my number as if she was the one calling. We have nothing tying our phones together besides that we are under a family plan with the carrier. Why is this and how can I stop it?

Those other phones are getting that information directly from Caller ID information provided by T-Mobile. Carriers typically assign the account holder's name to all numbers on the account. You would need to contact them to change the Caller ID information.

Some carriers allow account holders to change Caller ID names through their web portal.
