been tracking my lost phone now and just got an email notifying me that findmy has been disabled on my 14plus.
isnt there anyway to re-establish communication with my device

If Find My is actually disabled on the phone, there is no way to turn it back on remotely. However, as Mr. Timmons points out, this message may well be a scam. Do not click on any links in it, or provide any requested information.
If you want to check whether your iPhone is still on the list of devices associated with your Apple ID, I believe you can do that on your other devices, or by logging into https://www.icloud.com/find . No need to trust the e-mail.

Only you.....or someone else who knew your Apple ID and Password.....would be able to remove the iPhone from the list of devices using your Apple ID. Here, I am assuming that the phone was passcode protected.
Did you do this? Is it possible that someone else knows your Apple ID and Password?
If no to both questions, you may have received a scam message that is trying to trick you into providing more information. Be extremely careful. Do not respond to any requests for more information.
