Is Email Preview Safe to View Unknown Senders?

Hi all, Im usually pretty good about avoiding unknown sender's emails. A "Geek Squad" email got through my junk folder to my inbox on my phone. I wasn't thinking and did a preview of the email. I didn't open the email but when previewing it said it was downloading what I can imagine was a fake invoice. I then remembered and deleted the email without actually opening it.

My question is, do I have anything to worry about if I just previewed the email without opening it and did I really download possible malware to my phone?

I checked my downloads folders and found nothing amiss. I checked my apps to make sure nothing has popped up. I am using a iPhone 12 pro max. Thanks
