New MacBook Air M3 is unbelievably slow

I don't know what it is, but it's behaving badly. It is leaving little time for that Mac to do anything else. Look for an update, contact its developer, uninstall it... you decide.

Check the network activity in the activity monitor. The etre report says there is a process in the background running which slows down your Mac. You need to see what process or program it is. Here is a user guide:

From your issue it’s looks like you are using the m3 base version 8/256.

however in any case whether its base model or not it should not be slow.

You may try checking the activity monitor it will help you to look that how much ram and cpu are consumed by a particular application.

And also check if you are on the latest version of mac os.

just bought base model yesterday did not transfer data from old mac. Everything makes it lag!
