Can I still use Find My after removing my iPhone from device list?

Apple says you must turn Lost Mode on, change your iCloud password and then delete my iPhone from the devices list in iCloud settings.

My question is: will this affect the Lost Mode settings? Because I turned it on but it hasn’t be enabled yet.

Ig I delete my iPhone from the device list, will I have it on Find My? Will I be able to delete in a future?

Who said that? It wasn’t Apple, and it was VERY BAD advice.

Once you delete the phone from your account that removes Activation Lock and disables Find My. Now Find My is not that useful, because you will never see the phone again; it’s probably already in Shenzhen.

Beware of a common phishing scam: You may get a text or email from “Apple” or “Apple Security” (or sometimes “Police”) saying your phone has been found and to click on a link to see its location. This is NEVER from Apple or from law enforcement; it is from the thief or fence to steal your Apple ID and identity. Delete any such message without responding to it. Apple never gets involved in lost or stolen devices→Avoid phishing emails, fake ‘virus‘ alerts, phony support calls, and other scams

That’s what I understood from this:

  • Change your Apple ID password: Sign in to appleid.apple.com, then choose Sign-in and Security. Select Password and follow the onscreen instructions.
  • Remove your iPhone or iPad from your Apple ID trusted devices: Sign in to appleid.apple.com, then choose Devices from the sidebar. Select your device, scroll down, and select Remove from account.

That comes from the link you pasted.

And yes, thank you for the advice. Effectively they sent me that message.
