My iPad sounds muffled when connected to microphones

My iPad microphone can be heard clearly on the camera app however when I face time or use voice memo essentially every app that uses the microphone it sounds very muffled and sounds like I’m very far away

The only time the sound gets clear is when I tap on the iPad, and even then, only the tapping noise sounds clear, not my voice. Sound on iPad is very muffled when on a FaceTime call I have a 10th generation iPad and the sound is very muffled when on a FaceTime call - I have changed the mic settings and it still doesn't help. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

iPhone mic not working on apps Hey guys my mic suddenly started to sound muffled when using all apps like insta and snap and even voice memo. but when I record a video using front and back camera it works loud and crisp. when ever I record vids or use voice notes on other apps it is low and muffled any advice ?
