Apple Delivery time

I want to buy a Macbook Pro, and I need it on the 20th of August at best. The issue is, that the estimated delivery to a store seems to be the 26th. When I checked the personal delivery option, it says 3 - 5 business days but then underneath it says “delivers aug 22 - 26”. Is there a way to bypass that? I need it fast.

if you want a model with specific features, you will need to wait while they build you one, exactly like that. That is the bulk of the delay. Unfortunately, like all the retailers, the part you can change (typically at great expense) is the last few miles of the delivery process.

Only if you can "settle" for something already closer to the Retail end of the Apple pipeline can get any real impact from the quick-delivery options, but they save you a day at MOST.

Also consider MAJOR retailers like Best Buy, BH Photo, Adorama, and Amazon, and others who may have already ordered the model you want and have it available quickly 'on THEIR shelves'. Remember that as Retailers, their terms are slightly different from Apple's, such as they may not offer 14-day full-value returns.

How do I select that? The only option seems to be free shipping.

What options you're given will depend on your area/region and product availability. I just got done ordering a MacBook Pro. I was offered the option of picking it up at the store on August 26th or having it delivered to my house between August 23-26th. I also ordered a Homepod Mini, which is in stock in my local Apple Store. Because it was locally in stock, I was given the option for same-day delivery.

Dang, I need the 2TB 36gb 12 core M3 Pro version. I guess I’ll just order it and hope for the best.

Apple is, on the whole, pretty accurate with their delivery times. The times sometimes slip early in the product life cycle when everyone and their dog preordered something on release day. But, other than that, you should get it when Apple says you'll get it.
