My photos won’t show anything

Having deleted photos from your Photo Library, you will then need to delete the corresponding photos from the Recently Deleted folder - accessed from the Photos App sidebar.

Until also deleted from the Recently Deleted folder, from which deleted items can be recovered, no space will be released.

If you are using iCloud then the photos are stored on iCloud and NOT your device.
