Synch Apple TV episode progress across devices

Hello: I will often watch the same tv show on my phone, iPad, or Apple TV just depending on where I am

and what I’m doing. However, the show progress does not synchronize across devices. For example, I may watch 30 minutes on the phone and then switch to the iPad, but the IPad will start from

the beginning. Has anyone else encountered this? Thanks.

iPhone 14 Pro Max, iOS 17

Also verify that ‘Use Play History’ is activated on all devices with the Apple TV app.

It won’t update the iCloud watch progress without it.
