restrictions automatically added

a few months ago restrictions got added on my phone and when u asked my parents if they added it neither of them did and we tried all the passwords they knew and it didn’t work j was 12 at the time so i just dealt with it but now i’m 13 and i want them off and my dad dosent know the password and i’ve tried contacting apple before and they said to get my dad to take them off since he apparently put them on when he dosent even know how to put restrictions on !!!

Ridding of Scree Time Passcode:

No one here asked your parents this. These are just user-to-user forums. So, if he forgot the password, then have your dad:

  1. Go here: If you Forgot your Screen Time Passcode - Apple Support
  2. Scroll to: How to reset the Screen Time passcode for your child's device
  3. Still Having Issues? Scroll to: If you can't reset your Screen Time passcode


Then...

Have him remove these passcodes:

  1. Go to: Settings
  2. Tap: Screen Time
  3. Select: Turn Off Screen Time Passcode


Backup:

Once removed, backup your iPhone to a computer(Mac or PC). That way, you can have something to restore it from, and not have to go through this hassle, again. Back it up before and after you upgrade to iOS18 in a month or two from now.
