Why can’t I get iOS 17 even tho I’ve deleted a lot of things and it still says I do t have enough storage

iCloud is a syncing service, not storage. You can't free up space by moving stuff to iCloud. If you copy it to iCloud, then delete it from your phone, it will delete it from iCloud as well.

You can try to update using a computer, that method requires less storage space on your phone.

If you delete pictures and videos, you won't get the space back until you permanently delete them.

While they're in the Recently Deleted album (giving you the option to recover them), they're still taking up space on your phone.

If you go to Settings ➜ General ➜ iPhone Storage, how much free space does it say you have?
