Sorry, but parroting the instructions from Apple, does not address the OP’s question - at all.
The issue is, and this other person has as well, is that I have MORE than enough empty disk space on their iPad to update to iOS 18. For example, I have almost 8 GB. The download instructions say you need 7.14 GB of free space. I have MORE than that. The other person asking the original question also has MORE than 7.14 GB of free space. But they, and I, cannot install.
So how about give another kick at the can, maybe answer the question? this isn’t about offloading apps. this isn’t about deleting more. This is about ALREADY preparing and deleting and providing enough free space for the OS to install the update, per Apple’s instructions, and it still failing. The question then remains…
What’s wrong then if it won’t install when there is enough free space?
… not “how to” do it 😑
Please stop posting “volume responses” if they have no content that will help what the original poster asked for. Stop putting yourself on the back just to get kudos, but not actually answering questions. It’s a waste of your time, and it’s a waste of my time because I search for answers, then I have to read through this garbage. It’s not helpful. Think twice please if you’re going to be helpful, then be helpful. Ugh.
