As announced in early June, Netflix has ended their support for the legacy models Apple TV (2nd and 3rd generation) per 2024-07-31. As then app is no longer functional, it has been removed from the Apple TV Home Screen with loaded apps for these models. This is permanent. You will have to use a more modern streaming device to watch Netflix. Consider getting the current model Apple TV box.
