Credit card verification loop

I can no longer download apps to my iPad due to an endless loop asking me to enter a valid credit card. This happens in iTunes and in the iPad's app store.

The credit cards I've used to purchase apps have $25,000+ limits and just worked two days ago in iTunes. I've used them just today for other minor purchases elsewhere.

I have tried 6 different credit cards with $20,000+ limits, with the correct addresses, security codes, and everything perfect. None are working now. Itunes loops and keeps saying "Your credit card was declined. Please enter valid credit card information."

This happens also when I try to set it up with two different VALID Paypal accounts.

I can't even download FREE apps now! What gives? I'm on the latest version of iTunes.

You must email apple via the iTunes support website ... they will resolve it. There is little you can do outside the obvious on your own for most of these cases. Be patient.
Support originally recommended updating my user information which although didn't resolve my issue, it may be of help and just wise for others. That can be done here under the "Manage your account" link ... they told me to confirm and make certain all data was accurate here.

This issues is in another thread as well for both Windows and Mac users ... http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2552101&start=50&tstart=0

Follow up:
After filling out a support ticket (form) via Apple's Support website ... In about 48 hours I received an email from Apple Support stating they were working on the problem and give it up to 24 hours to be resolved. Also to reply to the email if there was any further issue.
However ... they fixed it right off the bat and I can make purchase again.
Thank you Apple Support ... much appreciated.

I am a U.S. Soldier deployed to Iraq and I have no way of calling Apple for help so I guess I am just screwed. I really hope somebody helps us out soon. I am paying $60/mo for really bad internet but I can still use my iphone on it and I have a ton of apps that need updates, not to mention I'd like to upgrade to OS 4.1! I don't even have OS 4.0!

I'm totally over Apple. I agree with the other posters; it seems there is a problem and Apple is ignoring it, or at least not letting users know what is going on. I've wasted several days going back and forth with the lousy e-mail only iTunes store support and got all the same dumb answers as others here (problem with 3 digit security code is banks fault, try another card, etc.).

Have you found an answer yet to the credit card problem?
I have the same problem.
I am thinking to uninstall and then reinstall iTunes.
I am in Afghanistan (Bagram, Airfield) and I use the IO Global network from India. I changed my mailing address with my bank and now my credit card is being rejected. I changed the address back to my mailing address but iTunes is still rejecting the credit card.

I uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes -> Problem still exists.
I double checked all address fields and punctuation to make sure it matches -> It does.
I checked with the bank -> Card is fine.
I tried all methods provided in this link (logging in, out, Apple Store etc) -> Problem still exists.

Purchased hundreds and hundreds of euros worth of Apps. Now no updates, no downloads, no nothing because I'm being declined with a perfectly valid credit card.

Insert curse here.
It's more than just a little annoying to be honest.

This is absolutely infuriating, and the fact that there's been no official response after seemingly YEARS of this occuring is unacceptable. What's the deal, Apple? I've had ZERO problems purchasing from iTunes/App Store with my completely valid credit card, and now suddenly my bank has the incorrect information? I don't think so. The fault clearly lies with shoddy software.

You dont buy their answer and neither do I. I have had a similar problem with having to re-enter credit card information every time I make a purchase even when I make multiple purchases during the same day. When I raise this with ITunes, I am advised that the "engineers are trying to fix it". They've been doing this for the last half year. Have now started to move across to another service provider and get much better service.

I never stopped having it. I just don't buy anything from Itunes and have virtually given up watching anything on apple tv... My friends with Roku don't have the problem. Also Apples aligence to Netflix has gotten to be a problem since netflix hasn't had any significant new content in months and has dropped all Star content. Give me access to Amazon or anything elese.
