Why won't my iPhone 15 delete large attachments?

My iPhone 15 using iOS 17.6 will not delete large attachments . I’ve tried deleting them, but they continue to show back up. I am not getting an error message and I have restarted the phone several times. What should I do?

Can you be a little more specific? What are you trying to delete and from what application?
