HomePod mini not connecting to apple tv

I have had my HomePod mini for over a year. Recently my speakers have reverted to my 4Ktv and I can’t change it back to the HomePod mini speaker. When I go to audio output in settings the temporary audio output does not show the home pod mini as a selection. Very frustrated. Have tried to reset the mini, unplugged it, unplugged everything. Nothing has worked. Ideas?
