Question about restore data and Strorage

My old Iphone had broken (The front screen was flattered), and I need to backup all the data of it, can I access it from my PC using Itunes without perform any step on the phone (I don’t have any Icloud backup or Data backup of it).
I notice that whenever I upgrade to new IOS, which will make the device to install a update package, does this package gonna disappear after update, or it will remain and take up the memory of the phone ?

The updater file is removed after an update. However, if the update is interrupted it will remain in storage. You can check by going to Settings/General/iPhone Storage. You will see it if it hasn’t been removed.

However, you can’t back it up without access to the screen, because you need to enter the phone’s passcode to start the backup.
