Serial number issue

My Serial number is showing invalid.

What are you trying to do when your see the "invalid" message?

Has the logic board in your computer ever been replaced? If the board was replaced by a non-Apple provider, it is likely they failed to take the iportatnt step of correcting the boards serial number.
