Check the Mute switch on the side of the phone above the volume buttons.

Check that Do Not Disturb is not on by opening the phone’s Control Center by dragging down from the battery icon and checking the round button next to the word Focus.

Check the mute on the watch by pressing and releasing the oval button on the side of the  watch to open the Control Center and make sure that Do Not Disturb (the crescent moon) is not on.

Phone calls should ring on both, but if you are wearing the watch notifications will only sound on the watch.
