Time Machine issues! Backup File not recognized on Mac Monterey

Hi,

I've been working on this issue for a couple of hours and now have given up. Here's a screenshot of my Time Machine which is 3GB (2.85TB) and it shows the capacity as 2.85 with zero available. I know for sure I backed up my computer files regularly to this machine. The airport has the latest update.

Using the SAME computer that I have backed up regularly. I moved from one location to another. I did both a soft and hard reset to connect to my current wifi network. This seemed to have triggered something that my Mac cannot recognize my Time Machine Backups. When I click on the time machine app on my computer, it shows there is 1.62 TB available and there is backup.

When clicking on "select disk" it only shows "data" which is my current airport time capsule. When click on "other airport time capsule". it doesn't do anything.

Even in finder it shows this:

No matter what I do... it cannot recognize my original backups. I can't even click on the time machine clock to view old backups. It only shows today.

I appreciate any advice here. Thank you!

Try the following in order as needed:

1 - hold down the Control key and select "Browse Other Backup Discs…" from the menu:

2 - boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and try to access the Time Machine drive from there. Then reboot normally and try again.

NOTE 1: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

NOTE 2: if you have a wireless keyboard with rechargeable batteries connect it with its charging cable before booting into Safe Mode. This makes it act as a wired keyboard as will insure a successful boot into Safe Mode.
