macos sonoma 14.6.1 bug with disk utilities

Just updated MacBook Pro 2018 intel to sonoma 14.6.1 two days ago. Since then I’ve been locked out my laptop as far as Permissions. Now I don't have permission to access disk volume and anytime I try to change I get told I don’t have permission to fix/change it

iPhone 12, iOS 17

I’ve experienced this as well. What worked for me was to create a new Administrator user account in System Settings > Users & Groups > Add User.

Set up this user and try to use disk utility from that account. If it works, return to your original account and try again.

if this does not work, go back to System Settings > Users & Groups on your second account and turn off admin access on your original account, sign out and return to the original. Then go back to the second account and reinstate admin access to your original account.

Try using Disk Utility again.

I hope this works for you.
