iPhone XR: Screen will Not Respond to Touch Until Force Restart (random repeat onset)
My iPhone XR (which as functioned normally for the last 5 years) now randomly becomes unresponsive unless it has a force restart or the battery dies.
In terms of what I mean by unresponsive: the screen will not respond to touch; facial recognition will not work; and on occasion messages do not deliver to my phone.
Everything else otherwise seems to work, including all the buttons. I get notifications and if my Bluetooth headphones are connected I can use their buttons to control turning music on or off.
This has happened 5x so far, all in the last month. The only trigger I can think of is that on two of the same occasions the issues started after I was waving my hands to music whilst holding the phone but neither time was particularly forceful, and this phone has survived a lot worse with no issues.
I am wondering if the issue is that the screen is disconnected from something and if the phone moves with any degree of force the disconnection causes the issue?
Thanks for your help!
