How to connect iPhone to smart TV? No devices find

Hey, I'm trying to connect my iPhone to my Smart TV for streaming, but I'm not sure how to get it to work. I’ve tried the screen mirroring option on my iPhone, but the TV isn't appearing in the list of available devices. I’ve checked the TV's settings and made sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network, but still no luck. Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Then you can't directly stream to it from an iPhone wirelessly.

As mentioned you may be able to Cast from specific Apps like Youtube or Netflix.

For other uses, you would need to use a physical cable connection, or a another device connected to the TV such as an Apple TV box, Roku, Firestick, etc... that supports Air Play to wirelessly stream from the iPhone to the TV

For a physical connection you'll need a USB-C digital adapter and an HDMI cable.

Make sure both your iPhone and TV are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and check if your TV supports AirPlay (you can check here: Home app - Accessories - Apple)

If AirPlay isn't available or isn't working, you can try using apps like DoCast or LetsView to mirror your screen.

Another option is to use a cable. You can get a Lightning to HDMI adapter, plug it into your iPhone, then connect the adapter to your TV with an HDMI cable. Switch your TV to the right HDMI input, and your iPhone screen should appear on the TV.

Hi!

Since your TV doesn’t support AirPlay, iOS doesn’t have a native way to connect to your tv.

It is likely your TV can receive Chromecast signals though, and most streaming apps have this functionality built in. How you can do that:

  1. Make sure your iPhone and TV are on, and on the same Wi-Fi network.
  2. Make sure your streaming app of choice has access to devices on your local network. You can check this in the Settings app (see screenshot below)
  3. In your streaming app, look for and tap an icon like this one:

You should now be able to stream to your smart TV!
