honda hrv carplay not working for iPhone 15 plus

Sometimes doing something super simple, like changing the name of the phone in Settings > General > About > Name can make a world of difference. Especially, if the phone was connected to a different car under that name. This is especially helpful if you get a new phone.

We've had the same issue. Service advisor at Honda said they're aware of it and there's no fix. Many have come in to complain about their CarPlay not working. He explained the hardware on these vehicles is better suited for Android phones. Not sure I buy this in all honesty. Was thinking of taking the vehicle to another dealership to see if I get the same response though I'm starting to believe there is likely no fix as I read more ppl are having this issue. The temporary fix though, he explained, was to delete the phone from the car and delete the car from the phone and start over with the connection process. I think it's a lazy fix just like when Apple tells you to just reset your phone and it'll work. These glitches are constant and having to reset every single time it fails shouldn't be the solution.

With older models, you must first enable Bluetooth on your phone and connect it to the car HandsFreeLink via Bluetooth before attaching a cable and attempting to use CarPlay.

I would suggest reading the manual that came with your car for support on setting up CarPlay.
