Unable to copy-paste numbers without call prompt

Hi, is it somewhat possible to disable the call prompt with numbers?

I’m trying to copy a reference number (which is not a phone number) from a pdf I got sent as email into my banking app so the other party can link the money to my order. Everytime I highlight a number, there is a millisecond the typical “copy, call” row appears over the highlighted text, then this disappears and the call prompt opens up. Not enough time for me to hit the copy button. I don’t wanna call, just copy and paste.

The only workaround I’ve found is to highlight text nearby, then move the bars to the end and beginning of the number. That’s just inconvenient. Any ideas? I’m on iOS 17.6.1, iPhone 11 Pro Max.
